A word from the President
Dear Colleagues,
It is a great honor and privilege for me to be the 3rd President of the International Society for Restorative Neurology (ISRN). Ours is a Society with a long-standing commitment to advance scientific knowledge, to improve clinical assessment and to develop interventional strategies for people with neurological impairments. All the progress made in the area comes from the collaborative contributions of the members of our Society and Committee.
Our Society is an international collaborative network of physicians, therapists, scientists, engineers, educators with the joint desire to elevate the position of this specialized field. We will continue to accomplish the Society’s mission through organizing our biannual meeting during which international experts in the field of Restorative Neurology are invited in order to create a platform for advancing knowledge through understanding of mechanisms of neurological impairments, and developing new interventions and methods to facilitate the translation of discoveries into the clinical area.
Throughout the past years, I have witnessed a high level of commitment, on the part of our past-Presidents, members of the Executive Board, in serving ISRN to sustain its success and growth, and I will do my utmost to live up to the high standard they have set for us.
I look forward to working with you all!
Simon Fuk-Tan Tang, M.D.
